Preaching to Porn Stars

I had Park Wiley over to do a live chat and solo sex show on my web site, JasonCurious.com tonight. For anyone who missed it, it will be up in the archives soon along with all our other “JC TV Live” shows.
Park mentioned to me that he had been seeing a guy for three weeks and he was very disappointed that it didn’t work out and he didn’t know what he had done wrong. “I really wanted to make it work with him,” he told me. “I just get so lonely, you know? I just want something to come home to.”
I asked him if he really wanted my advice or if he just wanted to vent. He said he was genuinely interested in what I had to say, so I told him, simply, “I don’t believe loneliness and companionship are good reasons for being in a relationship. They are, however, good reasons to buy a dog.”
He was so confused. “Companionship isn’t a reason to be in a relationship?” he asked. “Then what is?”
“Love,” I answered. “Love that is so strong, you can’t possibly live your life anymore without having that person in it and love that is so strong that you know you have more to contribute to the world together than you do apart. That’s why you get into a relationship. Not to solve the challenge of loneliness or to solve any other problems! Because although being in love may solve those problems, it also brings forth a whole new basket of problems for you to deal with. It’s not easy and a lot of times it’s not even fun. It is a responsibility when you find that person who you know you were put on this Earth to look after and love above all others, including yourself.”
He looked at me in such awe and thanked me profusely and told me that he was seeing a side of me that he didn’t know existed.
That was good to hear. I guess I forget the public’s perception of me sometimes. I’ve never really let anyone in this business get any closer to me than the mask of the “court jester.”
Hearing him say that sort of confirmed my faith in starting this blog. I was like, “Hmm… okay. People will listen after all and maybe they’ll take something from it.”

J.

I've been studying Kabbalah since August and it's been earthshattering and life changing. I'm really glad to find this blog and look forward to reading your thoughts and experiences!!!--sammychan, sammychan.com
I was tolda years ago at NUMBERS that wearing a red piece of yarn on your (limp) wrist indicates that you are a fan of Madonna. True? This site might be for me!!
This blog has changed a major part of my outlook on relationships. There are many times when I look for a relationship to try to fill a void. Loneliness is one of the biggest voids that many of us let bring us down. For me, most of the time I don't think of being alone as loneliness, and I just watch a movie or take some time to myself. Some of the deepest moments I've had have been by myself.
JD, You rock! Thanks for all your posts! xox L, J.

I think you've been brainwashed, seek help immediately!
Anonymous, I don't know about brainwashed, but you're definitely close. My consciousness has been seriously shifted! And that's about the same thing. LOL ;-) If our society defines sanity as blindly accepting heart attacks, panic attacks, ozone cracks, homicide, genocide, suicide, airline crashes, stock market crashes, ethnic clashes, high school shootings, religious feuding, recession, depression, therapy sessions, family welfare, chemical warfare, claustrophobia, xenophobia, unemployment, missile deployments, persecution, executions, political payoffs, massive layoffs, tabloids, steroids, illness, loneliness, earthquakes, poisoned lakes, disease, drug addiction and death -- then yes, I am definitely insane. Come get crazy with me! hehe xox L, J.
