Why "Wrong" Is So Right

So how did she do it? How is Rascal Video's "Wrong Side of the Tracks," starring Johnny Hazzard, better than any movie Chi Chi LaRue has made in a career spanning over 15 years? How do you make a movie that gets nominated for 12 prestigious GayVN Award nominations? For this reviewer, the answer is simple. Chi Chi included two very important elements of Kabbalah without even knowing it while making this movie and thus it has become, quite possibly, the greatest XXX video of all time, straight or gay!

A. One of the first things we learn in Kabbalah is that there is always a way to "challenge" yourself every second of every day. That challenge is where the gift of that second lies. Chi Chi did just that with "Wrong Side of the Tracks," going completely out of her comfort zone. She detests dialogue in sex films and hates shooting anywhere without permits. But that nervousness added energy to what she was creating and that challenge was something she made herself meet.

B. She set out to make a statement. LaRue passionately tells the tale of the corrupt from both sides of the fence and without beating you over the head, as is so often the case in porn with purpose, shows us just how similar the dark side of life at the top can be to the dark side of life on the streets.

And who could have possibly told that story better? Who else has witnessed first hand the horrors that lie in the indulgences success can bring while simultaneously witnessing the private lives of the street urchins?

Chi Chi tells me that this set was just "magical." She says things just came together and so much of what was shot was entirely unplanned. In the business they say, "The porn Gods must have been smiling on us that day." It's a cute quip, but not far from the truth.

"Wrong Side of the Tracks" was LaRue’s tale to tell.

L,
J.

Hello Jason: this is Mario Cruz. i hope you are doing good. I read your blog KabbalahCurious. I have been studying Kabbalah as well. Not for as long as you though, only for half a year. But i've really enjoyed it. I have read a bunch of Kabbalah books on my own and also attended some of the monthly meetings the Kabbalah center holds here in SF. Its taught me many things, among them, how to do what is right more often and be more proactive. Like sometimes, i catch friends sayin mean things about people they do not even know. Before i would just have laughed at the remarks, now it just feels wrong. And i tell them, did you really need to say that about that person? Why put them down? You do not even know them. What do you get from it? For it certainly will comeback to haunt you later. Kabbalah has taught me we are responsible for everything that goes on in our life, and that is why we need to be careful about what we do or say, because we are plantin the seeds of our future. The other day for example, i got on a cab in NY and i found a very expensive digital camera on the seat. I could have kept it. And i thought about it. But thanks to Kabbalah, i decided to give it to the taxi driver as it did not belongs to me and it would have only given me trouble in the future (keeping it). Anyways, one of my favorite books has been, "The way" by Michael Berg. If you have'nt read this one, you really should. The last parabole in the book, the one of the man and the envelopes, really made me cry.
I am a huge fan of Madonna as you are and after i started studyin Kabbalah, i can see lots of Kabbalah in the lyrics of her songs. My favorite, from the new album is "Push Me". The message is obvious. Well this is getting long. I have a blog too, by the way, not a Kabbalah blog, but i do write about it, my studies and my experiences with it, every now and then. For Christmas, my fans even gave me like 3 or 4 new different books on Kabbalah which was very sweet. If you ever want to check, it is: http://www.cruzinaround.blogspot.com/ I love to write and maybe i could write a column for you if you wanted. You can take a look and see my writing style and see if you like it. Wish you all the best and will see you at the GayVN.

Mario, It's good to know that there are some gay porn stars out there who are actually interested in applying the principles of Kabbalah to their every day life and not just wearing the red string while rocking out to the latest Madonna song. Your blog looks HOT! Please post your comments here as often as you'd like. I'd love to hear how your studies and experiences are going. xox L, J.
